AMC SEM Post-Hike Trip Report

TRIP LOCATION: Blue Hills- Chickatawbut Overlook Lower Trails

BRIEFLY DESCRIBE SPECIFIC TRAILS HIKED AND TRAIL CONDITIONS ENCOUNTERED:
Took trails North of street, including Headquarters Path, part of Sawcut Notch Path to 4042 then back to green dot and in and out the lower trails, finishing across the street at 4052 to yellow dot to Tower and back to parking lot. Trails were crusty snow with icy spots, low hills. Leader required microspikes and all participants were compliant. Stopped briefly for lunch.
WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR HIKE: Bright, sunny but cold, 10-25 degrees but no wind.
OTHER COMMENTS (problems, views, terrain, etc.)
Leader chose hike, pre-hiked, altered for conditions, sent out notices, updates and map of area hiked for all attendees. Assisted by Paul Brookes where map inaccurate/confusing.
IMPORTANT: Contact Hike Committee Chair ASAP with any medical emergencies or other serious incidents. No incidents.
