BRIEFLY DESCRIBE SPECIFIC TRAILS HIKED AND TRAIL CONDITIONS ENCOUNTERED: Trail conditions overall were good. There were a few muddy areas and a few trails had standing water from the recent rains. All trails were navigable with no difficulty. The terrain was varied with a couple inclines, some rocky ledges and some level grassy areas. A good combination offering variety and some views across the ledges.
WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR HIKE: Overcast with sun breaking through from time to time. No rain.
OTHER COMMENTS (problems, views, terrain, etc.)
This was a registered hike. One person cancelled the day before concerned about rain and muddy conditions. A second person confirmed that she would hike. The co-leader reached out to her twice but this person was a no-show. We tried to reach her twice by cell phone before the hike began and we waited an extra 10 minutes for her, but she didn’t arrive. The co-leader sent her an email after the hike to ask what happened.
