BRIEFLY DESCRIBE
SPECIFIC TRAILS HIKED AND TRAIL CONDITIONS ENCOUNTERED:
From Shea we
followed part of the Skyline hiking over Rattlesnake Hill and Wampatuck Hill
and then cut through the Squamaugh Notch to have lunch at the Picnic tables at
Chickatawbut Tower. We returned by Cedar
Rock Path to pick up the flat Indian Camp Path and the green dot trail back to
Shea. Everyone had a good time.
WEATHER
CONDITIONS FOR HIKE: Clear skies and a perfect temperature in the mid to upper
60’s. No snow remains in the Blue Hills.
OTHER
COMMENTS (problems, views, terrain, etc.)
With the
hills at the start this was a more challenging hike for the Thursday morning
group which usually do flatter routes but everyone did fine and we took a nice
long lunch to recuperate.
