OTHER
COMMENTS (problems, views, terrain, etc.)
This was a Family Hike. Group
identified princess pine and striped wintergreen. A magnifying lens was used to observe smaller
mosses and lichens. The group also used
string and measuring tape to determine age and height of trees. Some children explored water’s edge and
boulders. Group hiked past several
turtles which were sunning in the local ponds.
