BRIEFLY DESCRIBE
SPECIFIC TRAILS HIKED AND TRAIL CONDITIONS ENCOUNTERED:
This was the
first hike in the White Lining Series with a little snow on the ground which was
nice. Some sections of the trails were
icy and we wore our micro-spikes. We hiked to the top of Hemenway Hill and
lunched at Houghton’s Pond concession stand before returning to our cars via
Five Corners Path and Border Path. We got back to our cars half hour earlier
than in previous weeks and some in the group wanting to do a little more so I
took a smaller group down Border Path to Hillside St. and back.
