BRIEFLY DESCRIBE SPECIFIC TRAILS HIKED AND TRAIL CONDITIONS ENCOUNTERED: We hiked the  Mt. Kearsarge North trail and the trail was mostly bare with some spots of ice and snow. We used microspikes for the entire hike because of the icy/snowy patches. We hiked approximately 3/4 of the way up the trail, beyond the ledges; however, we encountered significant slick solid ice across the entire trail  for quite a distance and decided to turn around because of insecure traction. All the other people we encountered hiking that day in microspikes also decided to turn around at that point as the trail was too treacherous.
WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR HIKE: A beautiful clear, sunny day with temps in the high 40’s - lower 50’s. Not a cloud in the sky - views were great from the ledges.
